I want to say a few words about the Trump tariffs that have been announced.

We trade with over 50 countries around the world, and I am very proud of our relationships and our reach on both the selling and the buying side.  We manufacture many of our products in the USA.  Some of the materials used in our manufacturing come from outside the US, some do not.  Many of the “traded” items we sell are manufactured outside of the US.  We are a global company.

The tariffs will negatively affect every consumer, your business and my business.  We aim to minimize the effects of these tariffs to you.  Even though we have received some notices of price increases due to tariffs, we will not raise prices in anticipation of tariff impact until those tariffs have actually hit us.

For example, we make many products from materials that originate outside of the US.  We will not raise prices on those products until we are building with materials that have cost us more because of the tariffs.  Likewise, we will not raise prices on traded items until we are selling ones that are costing us more.

Our pricing may be volatile over the coming weeks and months, but know that we are as concerned as you, and we aim to minimize the impact on our clients as best we are able.
