Our ever-popular JLS Woodwind “C” Hammer offers great balance, weight, and feel, with the perfect materials, geometry, and surfaces for a myriad of woodwind servicing operations. This will become your favorite bench hammer and it will be in use continually through the day.
The geometry of the C Hammer offers a narrow face on one side which allows concentration in tight quarters (such as between a spring cradle and a key arm). The flip side is broader and is perfectly balanced and capable of gentle encouragement when aligning cups, hinges, posts and more.

Care:
Take care to not use the “C” hammer on sharp objects which may mar the face of the hammer. You will periodically need to remove imperfections in the hammer faces which show up after much use. Gentle sand with 320 to 400g wet/dry paper on a solid flat surface (a bench block perhaps). Keeping the surfaces flat with a satin finish will help you do your best work.
