We use Micro-Mesh for literally dozens of different jobs where we want easy, efficient roughing, abrasion, smoothing or cleaning of surfaces with minimal build up and clogging. Micro-Mesh is made with flexible cloth backing topped with a layer of specially-formulated latex and silicon carbide or aluminum oxide crystals that are bonded with a flexible glue. The crystals and flexible glue bond produce a longer-lasting material that resists heat buildup. The result is a uniform, even surface pattern that requires fewer aggressive steps to obtain the final finish. Polishing time is reduced and the finest uniform scratch pattern appears with the most economical process. This is the optimum finishing medium. Available in 1,500 to 12,000 grit.
